Preparing for the rite of Confirmation is a nine-month process for people in grade 8 or higher and their parents. The Christian rite of Confirmation is the church’s recognition that a person now assumes adult responsibility for their own spiritual care and conduct. This process includes parent involvement, class work, reflection time, retreats, leadership development, regular participation in worship, and field trips for service and learning. They meet in the confirmation room in the education wing.
